Viscosity Comparator

Viscosity of lube oil should be checked frequently in order to avoid engine malfunction. A deviation of 10% from standard viscosity means a considerable risk. To test the viscosity the sample of the used oil cools down to the temperature of the fresh oil sample. Both samples given on the VISCOSITY COMPARATOR side by side in channels and the comparator is tilt in an angular position. The samples run down in the channels and when the fresh oil sample passes the Check-Point-mark, the comparator is tilt back in its basic position. Now the final marks of both samples are compared. If they are close contiguous the discrepancy of the viscosity is very small.
